Welcome to Oh My, Food Geek.
This site is mainly for me. But you're welcome to enjoy it just the same. The main portion of the blog is just me posting pictures of food I've made with additional notes on the process and a link to the recipe (if available).
Some other elements of the site are:
The Lab: It's okay to play with your food. I'll try out something I saw on G+. Or I'll search for the ethereal ultimate something. This is where I take the genetic code and manipulate and observe and report my findings.
Research Notes: There are all sorts of dietary fads that come along: Eggs are good. No, bad....no...wait...Good? Can you please repeat the question? I take everything I come across with a grain of salt. Even if it comes from my personal hero, Alton Brown. I'll do my research and report my findings. I'm not a doctor. I'm not a nutritionist. I'm not a gastronomial anthropologist. But, I know how to read and do research.
The Ultimate ...: This is my ultimate whatever. They are my finished products from The Lab. I've finished tweaking and tinkering and beta testing. This is the final result of whatever strange experiment I've been up to. The final recipe that I am sharing with the world. Feel free to try them. And I welcome feedback as well.
Bits and Tids: Just little things I've learned along they way on my journey through Gastranomia. Ideas. Thoughts. What have you.
The Good Eats Project: Long ago on a blog far, far away I'd started a project to go through the entire recipe file of Alton Brown's Good Eats. Due to some dietary changes, I can't say I'll complete that goal, but I do still want to attempt it. I'm moving that project under OMFG as it is now my one food blog site. It's just mentally easier for me to deal with.
